I had the same problems, which went away after upgrading to the newest 0.6
prerelease. And one thing about the patch: May it be it's a reverse patch?
I had to delete '$project->check_installation;', though your patch does
the opposite, or I applied it wrongly.
Apart from that I really like dvd:rip although I'd really like to see AC3
passthrough support, because I always use AC3 audio. But I read that it's
on your TODO list :-)
