Hi,
I just tried today's dvd::rip 0.30, with transcode v0.6.0pre2-20020115,
and what I find is that on a certain DVD, ripping is _extremely_ slow.
Though I can play the DVD happily, and rip an other DVD with reasonable
speed.
What happens is, that dvd::rip starts to rip it, issues the commands,
then the DVD reports activity, but for a long long time there is a 0
byte file on the VOB directory. Then after a long while, the file
becomes 16MB, then possible goes further, couldn't wait that long. The
progress indicator in dvd::rip does not say anything, and if I press
cancel, it freezes.
When trying the same commands command line, the same thing happens.
Maybe a transcode issue, but any clues, anyway?
The command line is:
tccat -t dvd -T 1,-1,1 -i /dev/dvd | splitpipe -f
/tmp/dvdrip/ShadoOfTheVampire/tmp/ShadoOfTheVampire-1-nav.log 1024
/tmp/dvdrip/ShadoOfTheVampire/vob/1/ShadoOfTheVampire vob | tcextract -a
0 -x ac3 -t vob | tcdecode -x ac3 | tcscan -x pcm
