Yes. Burn a DVD image to a DVD5. You obviously have the MPEG, just author a 
DVD image instead of a VCD image. I use dvdauthor often to put a couple 
movies ripped with dvd::rip on a single DVD. I don't see what this has to do 
with Linux, the issues are the same no matter what platform you are on.

Sigh. I apologize for not understanding the question. I have a DVD burner, can 
rip a DVD9 to around 2GB of video easily, I can author and burn DVD's. It 
would simply never have occured to me to author a VCD and burn it to DVD 
media, the obvious thing to do is burn a normal DVD.

Actually, my preferred method is to use the CVD profile to rip to MPEG2, then 
burn DVDs with 2 complete movies each. It's much higher quality than VCD 
resolution, and very economically convenient. This has been discussed much on 
the list.

Well, actually, my preferred method is to simply shrink the DVD9 to a DVD5 and 
leave all the menus and special features intact. I only do that for the few 
of my DVDs that are special enough to me to warrant a full backup. :)
