[dvd::rip] Timeout problem with cluster mode

Subject: [dvd::rip] Timeout problem with cluster mode

Hello,

I also encountered a timeout problem with the cluster mode, similiar to what
was discussed several months ago on this list.

The movie I was encoding was split into two PSUs, and everything went just
fine up to the point where the program streams should have been merged. The
process ran for some time (GUI told me "Initializing"), then just hang.

When checking with "dvdrip-master 3", I got the following output:

------------

Fri Jan 16 03:37:50 2004 Starting job (44): merge program stream units on node
localhost
Fri Jan 16 03:37:50 2004 execute command: mkdir -m 0775 -p
  '/home/sigi/dvdrip/data/rosemary/avi/001' && `which nice` -n 10 dr_exec ogmcat
  -o '/home/sigi/dvdrip/data/rosemary/avi/001/rosemary-001.ogm'
  /home/sigi/dvdrip/data/rosemary/avi/001/audio-video-psu/*.ogm && echo
  DVDRIP_SUCCESS && rm
/home/sigi/dvdrip/data/rosemary/avi/001/audio-video-psu/*.avi (timeout=30)
Fri Jan 16 03:37:50 2004 Project file saved to
  '/home/sigi/.dvdrip-master/projects/00000008-rosemary.rip'
Fri Jan 16 03:39:06 2004 Job has PID 24203
Fri Jan 16 03:39:06 2004 Command cancelled due to timeout
Fri Jan 16 03:39:06 2004 Aborting command. Sending signal 1 to PID 24203...

------------

I then repeated the command in a shell and it worked with no problems.
Apparently the merging took too long and some timeout was reached. (I
didn't use a stop watch but the merging surely took longer than 30 seconds).

Everything is running on one single machine (localhost). I did set up this
as explained in the docs (so no SSH connections are being made).

Target file length: 1400 MB
dvd::rip version:   0.50.16
transcode version:  0.6.12

What can we do about this?
