I'm brand new to ripping DVDs and I was hoping I could get some advice
on the topic. What I'm trying to do is to get put the contents of a DVD
into an MPEG file and store it that way permanently. I don't want it in
AVI or any other format.
Now, when I run dvdrip it says that the "Container" is AVI and the MPEG
option is grayed out. So, the question is, given the above, what do I
need to do?
I have the following installed:
perl
dvdrip
libmpeg3
transcode
subtitleripper
Gtk-perl
ImageMagick
I would appreciate it if someone could help correct my ignorance. I
looked through the FAQ and the mailing list archives and didn't see
anything that would answer this. Many thanks!!
