Joern : please tell me what you think about my idea.
I like the part about having a detailed project status, something I
missed myself sometimes ;)
:) As I start to learn Perl-GTK for myself, maybe I will take time later
to add a patch for what I imagine.
The batch part is Ok, as long as dvdrip command line calls are written
to the shell script, and not the commands "just grabbed" from the log.
It's not that easy, because not all generated commands are known in
advance, because they may depend on each other.
Of course, but my idea is just to set project as usual (define option
for zooming, codec, transcode, and so on) then instead of click on
"transcode" or "transcode and split" button, have one button "add to
script" or do it automatically and show the summary of what is added to
the script in a specific tab (in fact, is very near to Powerquest
Partition Magic windows utlity :) for who know this nice tool).
A "perfect" offline/batch mode is on my TODO list for the "next
generation dvd::rip". Unfortunately this is vaporware until I have more
time again for dvd::rip...
I understand ;).

Joern
