I completely differ on this. On my system and many others (since you're
the first who reports this problem) transcode just works with the -H
option. If dvd::rip would offer an option for each _potential_ transcode
or tool X bug it wouldn't be usable at all.

Ok, unfortunately you missed this detailed description in your first
mail (so my flame from yesterday evening applies also here... ;) Indeed,
Ctrl+C/V doesn't work in the logging window, and there is no context
menu for a copy action. I'm used to do Copy'n paste with the middle
mouse button and that worked for me so I didn't understand the problem:
just highlight the text and paste it with the middle mouse button
somewhere else.

But I'm working already on this, because the new Gtk2 based dvd::rip GUI
is on it's way, and with Gtk2 Ctrl+C/V just works here.

As I wrote: it's Linux distribution specific. And you missed telling us
which distro you're using...

Hmm, try another repository? Or contact the maintainer of these
packages, that he should provide 0.6.14 for dvd::rip, obviously he isn't
aware of the problems the newer versions have (e.g. the broken
subtitling).
