Yep, you're right. That's an odd behaviour. The current 0.97 development
branch uses another approach for the parameter checking: it's applied
after the focus of the entry gets lost. This way "illegal" values during
typing are no problem anymore.
Dunno if I'll backport this to the 0.52 branch, since this will be
outdated (hopefully ;) soon.
