Thanks for clearing this. I couldn't remember who was responsible for 
the sentence. I knew it wasn't me, because I personally never had 
problems with NFS hard/soft mounts ;)

Of course it's difficult for dvd::rip to distinguish between "hard" and
"soft" errors. If the software installation is broken on the node, 
repeating the job would make no sense. But dvd::rip could at least retry
a few times, so temporary failures (e.g. network problems) could be 
neutralized this way. I noted this on my TODO list.

At least you can reset the job manually ;)
