[dvd::rip] Another newbie question on A/V sync

Subject: [dvd::rip] Another newbie question on A/V sync

Is it normal to have to tweak the A/V sync manually with transcode? I haven't
used Windows since 1999, but from what I understand, this is not a problem for
Windows users. What gives? I've tried using "PSU core", and from what I've
gathered, dvd::rip already uses the transcode "-M 2" option which is the best
it can do, so why are many of my rips coming out with horrible sync?

I've been trying ogm/ogg/xvid, should I be using avi/mp3/divx? I'd prefer to
use
ogg/xvid because it's open and free, but that doesn't really do much for
me if it doesn't work.
