Hello,
I'm trying to put together a distribution for Gentoo Linux for the 0.97
series, working currently on 0.97.2, and I'm running into an odd
problem. I originally attempted to install the perl modules and dvd::rip
by hand to test them. After successfully installing them I was receiving
some odd errors on stdout/err but dvd::rip still loaded. However, upon
load, it reported that I had no version of any the tools installed,
including transcode and imagemagick. I have both of these installed, and
very up-to-date.
After this, I noticed that gentoo was installing the perl components
differently than I was, and so I went ahead and used the existing
installation routines, modifying them to install the various perl
modules, and then to install dvd::rip. All the modules install cleanly,
as does dvd::rip. (Now version 0.97.2, with both
Gtk2-Ex-FormFactory-0.57 and Event-RPC-0.84 installed)
When run, there are no, repeate zero errors to the console. However it
still reports _no_ versions of any tools installed. Any ideas?
suggestions? I have the following software installed:
[ebuild R ] media-video/transcode-1.0.0
[ebuild R ] media-gfx/imagemagick-6.2.2.3-r1
[ebuild R ] media-video/xvid4conf-1.12
[ebuild R ] app-arch/rar-3.4.1
[ebuild R ] media-video/mplayer-1.0_pre7
[ebuild R ] media-sound/ogmtools-1.5
[ebuild R ] net-analyzer/fping-2.4_beta2-r1
[ebuild R ] dev-perl/Event-RPC-0.84
[ebuild R ] dev-perl/gtk2-ex-formfactory-0.57
[ebuild R ] media-video/dvdrip-0.97.2
Thanks in advance for any assistance. =]
