[dvd::rip] dvd::rip fails to find installed dependencies

Subject: [dvd::rip] dvd::rip fails to find installed dependencies

Hi all,

 I'm new to just about everything to do with transcoding, dvd authoring
etc, but am trying to build a pvr and have installed dvd::rip using the
tarball.

System is AMD-64 running Debian-64 installed from Kanotix. Kernel 2.6.11

I have most of the dependencies installed, among others transcode and
ImageMagick
which were installed from a debian repository:

 $ transcode -v
transcode v1.0.0 (C) 2001-2003 Thomas Oestreich, 2003-2004 T. Bitterberg

$ convert -version
Version: ImageMagick 6.2.3 08/04/05 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org
Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2005 ImageMagick Studio LLC

However, dvdrip can't find any of these.

I saw this mentioned just after I joined the list, and have tried enabling
and disabling the workaround transcode NTPL bugs option.

Interestingly, I just inadvertently "upgraded" mplayer from my own build
to a pre-compiled version (which crashes). dvd::rip finds the new version,
but didn't find mine (both installed from debs and resident in /usr/bin
  Program              Version

  ImageMagick          missing
  xvid4conf            missing

  rar                  missing
  mplayer              cvs
  ogmtools             missing
  dvdxchap             missing
  mjpegtools           missing
  cdrdao               missing
  vcdimager            missing
  mkisofs              missing
  cdrecord             missing
  dvdrecord            missing
  xine                 missing
  fping                missing

I apologise if this has recently been answered, as I imagine it's a fairly
common problem

Cheers
