[dvd::rip] Converting DivX to burn a DVD-R

        Hi...  Can you guys tell if dvdrip can transcode a DivX avi file
(normally xvid and mp3) back to DVD-Video data, so I can burn it on a
DVD-R(W) and watch it on my standard player ? If not, what can you tell
me about doing this on linux? Can you recommend any documentation? I
already searched google, but only comes those messy pages with windows
software/procedures...
