[dvd::rip] error transcoding

Folks:

I'm in the process of creating a vcd. When I click on "Transcode" on the 
Transcode screen, the following log screen is shown with some errors. it 
appears that the program could not find mpeg2enc. I am running Kubuntu Linux. 
apt-get shows that the  latest version of transcode is installed.

Any clues/
