[dvd::rip] DVDRip does not start any more....

Hello!

First of all I want to say thank you for this great piece of software!
I never had a problem with dvdrip. Yesterday I updated my entire System
(Gentoo Linux) an now dvdrip does not start anymore.

It sticks with the only message "[filterlist] (re)scanning transcode's
module path /usr/lib/transcode...". 

I don't know what additional information to tell. 
Can anybody please help me?
