Re: [dvd::rip] SVCD split problem // audio sync update

UPDATE: Now I listened to my happily generated and finally correct splitted mpegs, and there is a big audio sync issue (about one second delay) I didn't encounter with any VCD yet.

Right now I'm encoding with the "4" option both in mpeg2enc and mplex. If that doesn't help I'll play around with transcode's -M/-D options. And if that doesn't help I'm switching back to VCD :-(

Frustrated,

Jan

The only thing I found is a message from you stating that this seems to be a bug and will be fixed in the "next release":

Either you forgot to change this or you changed it back (or didn't change it in the first place) for a good reason.

I think that mplex-ing with -f 4 is always a good thing when demanding a "Standard SVCD", but I can't find any reason why not encoding with -F 4. Maybe I'll encode one movie both ways and do some testing with various stand-alone players... ...next week there will be cheap SVCD-capable DVD players at Aldi ;-)

Cheers,

Jan
