well i did manager to get Video-DVDRip-0.52.6-0 to compile on SUSE 10
from the tar.gz archive but I have to still downgrade perl from
5.8.7-5 to 5.8.6-5 in order to be able to install
perl-Gtk-Perl. I had perl-libintl-perl-1.11-1.pm.0.i586.rpm installed
so I uninstalled perl-libintl-perl-1.11-1.pm.0.i586.rpm & downloaded
libintl-perl-1.16.tar.gz & compiled libintl-perl went fine. After that
I was able to compile Video-DVDRip-0.52.6-0 from the tar.gz file fine.
Now dvdrip works great.
