Gentoo: dvd::rip is in the "portage" system. This makes installation
as easy as:

emerge dvdrip

It'll download and compile the requirements. Including transcode
and xvid4 and cdrecord and what not - if needed/wanted.

Gentoo has 0.52.5 as stable and 0.97.2 as unstable.
