I really can't tell, I've been with linux too long now, and I have to admit,
Gentoo is my favourite distro. It's by far the easiest to install new

OK, finished ranting now, I really liked dvdrip, don't use it that much any
longer. Doing most from the command line these days :-)
last time I used dvd::rip, I just did perl -MCPAN -e "install
Video::Dvdrip" (or something similar..
as for this "dependency hell" you speak of, I have no idea... then
again, I maintain several rpms for Trustix' community repository, so I'm
not afraid of building packages if none preexists :)
now, gentoo, I just don't get..
