I've got something very much like this. When I use UTF-8, dvd::rip
looks terrible. But when I set my locale so, that it's not using
UTF-8, everything's fine.
Ie. normally I've got:
LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
With that, Umlaute (ä, ö, ü, etc.pp.) look terrible. When changing
that to non-UTF-8, everything's fine. So I normally start dvd::rip
like this:
LANG=de_DE dvdrip
