Morning folks. Am stuck. DVD::rip worked fine a week ago. Decided after testing my Mandriva install (first Linux install) for several months I decided to reformat and do a fresh setup with only the software I had tried and liked. Reinstalled Mandriva, reinstalled all of the software required by DVD::rip (based on the project webpage info) and now I can't get it past the end of the 1st pass transcode. In preferences it wants the CD-burning commands (X,X,X) but I do not plan to burn from DVD::rip. The rest of the settings are fine I think. Am trying to rip using AVI and have tried xvid and divx and ffmpeg. I have had success with these settings in the past. I know this is not enough info but if anyone can help, tell me what info you need and where to find it and I'll post it. I REALLY like this software and want to get it back to functioning. Am using it to rip my DVDs to 320x320 (second variable is dependent on the aspect ratio of course) so I can enjoy them on my PalmPilot when I have a few minutes here and there (fair use). Thanks to any who might be able to help and the author of the software!!!
