[dvd::rip] subtitles are rendered ugly

Hello,

I have a strange problem. I am encoding a dvd (to divx if that
matters) and I am rendering dutch subtitles in the movie, but the
subtitles come in a big white rectangular area instead of just on the
movie. I'll take a screenshot to clarify:
