[dvd::rip] Installing dvdrip

Hello everyone,

Running SuSE 10.0. Have tried to download and install Video-DVDRip from 
Packman.  It fails saying I need the package rar but that rar cannot be 
installed. (Checking shows that it is not in the repository)  Googling for 
the package only shows the Windows versions of rar. 

Can somebody set me straight here?
