[dvd::rip] vobsub: Where do the IFO files need to go?

Subject: [dvd::rip] vobsub: Where do the IFO files need to go?

Hi List!

Long time lurker here. I'm trying to convert vob to avi from a DVD I had ripped a long time ago, but never processed. When I try to create a vobsub, dvdrip complains "Need IFO files in place." Where is this place that it needs them? They are in the tmp/ifo/ directory. Copying vts_10_0.ifo to vob/, or to vob/010/, didn't help.
