Currently not. It's on my TODO list for 0.99.x (want to make a stable
0.98 release first, making 0.52.x obsolete). dvd::rip will support any
input which transcode accepts, not just DVDs, but arbitrary files as
well. Also I'm thinking about specific modes for DVB recordings, see
below...

You can "fake" a DVD image. If your recordings are MPEG program streams
you can use dvdauthor to make a DVD image out of it. But likely you have
just a transport stream, which needs to be demuxed/muxed to a program
stream first. It looks you're using vdr: vdrsync.pl [1] does an
excellent job, it creates a DVD image out of your vdr files in one go.
Then point dvd::rip to this image and you're done.
