Hi!
dvd::rip is GREAT, and it works 100% reliably, which I like a lot (I use
the stable version not the CVS). I do have one wish and one question though.
Wish: I have to use ksubtitleripper (a *great* app) to do the subtitle
character recognition. It seems like strange that I have to use two
different apps to accomplish one task. Anyways, are any of you having
problems with gocr as well, or is it only me? (It can be really
problematic with things like hungarian special characters and especially
with italics). Maybe you have a good tip to tell me to use?
Question: Is ffmpeg's mpeg4 encoding takes ages for you too? I am using
an Athlon 2000XP+(@1.5Ghz) and it takes 3 hours for the first pass and
21 hours(!) for the second pass for a 3 hour film encoded to 1700 Mb
video + 200 Mb audio. This sounds an awful lot to me... is the unstable
version any better? Have I not tuned something well?
Thx in advance, and a BIG thx for the team who made dvd::rip!
Máté
