Hello:

I have been trying for several days now to try and configure dvd::rip,
transcode, etc to rip a dvd & create an ogg file.

After combing the on line documentation, I managed to get a successful
rip, but right before success, it gave an error about being unable to
merge the video to the audio (during second pass). Evidently the
details are only in a pop-up which does not seem to support text-copy so
I couldn't grab it, and since I couldn't find it in a log file, I am
currently re-trying so that I can type the error in. (is this info
stored anywhere?). Ultimately, I would like to transfer my DVD
collection to Lossless Format on my hard drive, but right now I can't
even get a "simple" ogg/theora to work.

Details:
Ubuntu Linux Dapper Drake 6.06
Gnome desktop: 2.14.1
dvd::rip: 0.52.5
transcode 1.0.2 (0.0ubuntu2)

I am not against using the "unstable" 0.97.x build, but I haven't found
a debian package for it
