[dvd::rip] DVDRip gives error when trying to transcode

When I try to do a dvd rip I get this message when I hit transcode:


                                        An internal exception was
                                        thrown!
                                        The error message was:
                                        
                                        Can't locate object method
                                        "message_window" via package
                                        "Video::DVDRip::Task::Transcode"
                                        at 
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.7/Video/DVDRip/Task/Transcode.pm line 63.

I am using mandriva 2006 2.6.12 with Video-DVDRip-0.97.6-0.1.20060plf
which I got from PLF urpmi

Anyone else had this prob?   It did this out of the box.  Thanks for any
help.
