I don't think that's a dvd::rip issue, it's likely an issue with that
particular DVD. dvd::rip works perfectly for me on FC5, for most DVDs.
Some, however, are problematic, whether I do it on FC5 or SuSE, or
Gentoo.
Any idea what I should look out for--I mean, new/old, studio, format,
what? I've tried three random disks, each fails at a different stage
(I'm trying to rip only single chapters, not the whole disk).
I can run a simple extraction using transcode from the command line
successfully (although with one disk, ripping the subtitles caused a
hang, but ok without). The same disk, under dvdrip, hangs extracting the
preview images.
I guess it could be my dvd drive also.
