Hint: use dvd::rip 0.97. It's minimum screen size is much smaller (on my
english GNOME desktop with standard font size 695x675) and in general 
the GUI looks nicer. Although the 0.97 branch is tagged "unstable": it 
works pretty good, the current version 0.97.11 is a candidate for the 
next stable release.
