When you rip a DVD with dvd::rip you actually copy a DVD title (or
several titles) to a directory with .vob files. You can't reconstruct
the original DVD with these files including menus and stuff, but you
should be able to author a DVD with the title(s) you copied, however
with a simple menu only.
dvd::rip itself currently doesn't offer any functions for this, but you
should be able to use dvdauthor to build simple DVD's out of the .vob
files. There are many dvdauthor frontends out there, which should make
the task easier (e.g. qdvdauthor, dvdstyler or dvdwizard). I never tried
this myself, but it should work.
If these programs can't handle the vob streams directly you can use
transcode to extract video & audio programs streams out of them and
mplex to mux corresponding MPEG program stream files (dvd::rip can
create .mpg files as well, but it always transcodes to lower bitrates,
which is not what you want). If you need further assistance on this, ask
here or in transcode-users ;) If you have success with dvdauthor, please
post a short note as well.

Think before you code. And while you're doing it probably won't hurt. ;)
