[dvd::rip] Very peculiar bug in dvd::rip 0.97.12

Hallo,
I think I found a quite rare bug in dvd::rip 0.97.12 (using the last 
FreshRPMs packages on Fedora Core 5 x86_64).
Whenever I open the preferences and change the default dvd device to 
blank space, and then click ok, dvd::rip segfaults short after with this 
messages:

[dario@localhost ~]$ dvdrip

Segmentation fault

It works even when changing from blank to <something>.
I'm not really sure this is a dvd::rip bug or a perl-gtk one....
Feel free to ask me any further information, I can prepare a strace of 
the event if needed.
