Hmm, I think it's a bug somehere in Gtk (either C libraries or Perl 
bindings), at least I can't reproduce that on my system. I'm using 
Debian i386 sid with libgtk2 2.8.18 and libgtk2-perl 1.121.

Anybody else here, who can reproduce that bug?

I'm not able to debug the Gtk C area ;) A corresponding but report 
should go to gtk-perl-list@xxxxxxxxxx I think a strace would be helpful.
