Problem is that you need to also include the divx install into your OS 
it does not come with dvd:rip or make sure that it is able to be found
bey dvd:rip as well as any of the other encoders you are looking to
use.  And plain mpeg4 will mostly not work on dvix players.. they tend
to  look bad from my experience. Plus you can use xvid4 in divx compat
mode.
