Thanks for this introduction. I didn't know the linuxappfinder's
article, and that dvd::rip competes not too bad in it ;) (although it's
a pity that is was written in mid 2006, based on the last one year old
stable...)

Subtitles sometimes are problematic. For me it looks that some DVDs are
not authored cleanly, regarding language information and stuff. You
always should use dvd::rip's subtitle preview facilities to be sure you
hit the correct one.

Hmm, are you sure you selected the right track? I'm not aware of any
problems regarding AC3 passthrough. Please send me your .rip file to
joern@xxxxxx, probably I can see what's going wrong.
