[dvd::rip] Problems starting cluster mode

Subject: [dvd::rip] Problems starting cluster mode

Hi there!

I've been using dvd::rip to make prettyful copies of my DVD collection
for quite a while now, and thought I'd give cluster mode a spin.
Managed to NFS, ssh keys and such working fine but couldn't get the
dvdrip-cluster thing to start. The error given is: "Can't start master
daemon on port 2048" (I changed the default port at some point as the
original one didn't work either).

Executing dvdrip-master in a terminal spits out this:
twigathy@Monkey:~/dvdrip-data$ dvdrip-master 3
Mon Jan 29 00:56:09 2007 [1] dvd::rip cluster control daemon started
Mon Jan 29 00:56:09 2007 [3] cid=1: Class
'Video::DVDRip::Cluster::Master' successfully loaded
Mon Jan 29 00:56:09 2007 [1] Master daemon activated
can't start RPC listener: Address already in use at
/usr/share/perl5/Event/RPC/Server.pm line 185.

This is on a fairly fresh Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft) machine with
transcode (2:1.0.2-0.8ubuntu2), perl (5.8.8-6) and dvdrip
(1:0.98.1-0.1ubuntu1) installed.

Changing the port dvdrip-master starts on seems to make no difference
to the error.

So, what am I doing wrong? :-)

Thanks in advance for any help....
