Hi everyone!
I'm experiencing some problems with a dvd::rip cluster . Well, first,
the configuration:
1--MASTER NODE with etch, processor athlon xp3200+ master of th
cluster, it runs the daemon (dvd::rip+transcode).
2 --FIRST NODE with etch, processor athlon xp3200+, first node of the
cluster, it only runs transcode.
3--SECOND NODE with sarge, processor Intel Pentium III, second node of
the cluster, it runs transcode and nfs server.
transcode & dvd::rip installation with apt-get and marillat
repository.
My problems are:
First, the speed of my first node is very slow (about 10 to 15 tps) but
the master run 30 to 35 tps!!! Is it normal?
Second, i cant stop the nodes, even the master. When i hit the stop
button, it becomes grey but transcode continues on each node. And when
i hit start node, the node processes a second job at the same time. For
example, before hitting stop, the node processes "chunk 1, pass 1"
after hitting stop button & start button, the node processes chunk
1, pass1" AND "chunk 3, pass1". Each time i press stop ans start, a new
job starts. Don't understand...
third and last for the moment ;-) i want to encode only the video
stream. When i use only one PC (no cluster node) ther's no problem but
when i use the cluster, i get errors, i think dvd::rip try to mux a
audio and video streams but it can't find the audio stream. Can i solve
that?
Well, i'm sorry for my english, i just hope it's readeable :-|
Regards.
