[dvd::rip] Error reading IFO files when creating vobsub

Subject: [dvd::rip] Error reading IFO files when creating vobsub

Hi all,

First of all, I would like to say that dvd::rip rocks.
:) However, I got into some trouble while trying to
rip vobsubs.

I am mounting an ISO image as loopback.

/home/waipeng/Desktop/disc.iso on /mnt/loopback type
udf (ro,loop=/dev/loop0)

While trying to create vobsub, the following error is
shown.

Need IFO files in place.
You must re-read TOC from DVD.

Clicking on "Read DVD table of contents" in "RIP
Title" doesn't help. The same error is still shown
when trying to create the vobsubs.

I've search the list, and it was reported before, but
however the original poster disappeared, so it
remained unsolved. :)

Digging into the source, I found that the IFO files
are not copied over. It seems that in sub
copy_ifo_files {}, $dvd_mount_dir seems to be empty.
This is because $dvd_device = /mnt/loopback (remember
it is a loopback) and it can't look up /mnt/loopback
in sub get_mount_dir_from_mtab {}, and so it doesn't
get "mounted" (not like it needs to).

I'm guessing maybe we need to separate out the field
in "Storage" tab, "Data source selection" section to
populate $dvd_device if it's a /dev/xxx device, or to
populate $dvd_mount_dir if it's a mounted directory.

I don't know how it should be done, or whether we
should just forgo choosing a DVD device altogether,
but choose a DVD mounted point instead. Please
discuss.

Regards,
Waipeng
