The only relevant error in your log is:

"You must first rip the selected title to see this command. "

Rip the title onto harddisk first.

Hello all! I'm a new-ish dvdrip user on a debian sid system, and I can rip but not encode (or perhaps transcode would be the better verb). What I would like to have happen is to get a single .avi file from dvd::rip that contains the entire movie. The commands shown did not work from dvdrip. The transcode button stayed greyed out the entire time.

Here are the relevant pieces of info:

Program              Version
  -------------------------------
  dvd::rip             0.98.8
  transcode            1.0.4
  ImageMagick          6.2.4
  ffmpeg               SVN-rUNKNOWN,
  xvid4conf            1.12
  subtitle2pgm         0.3
  lsdvd                0.16
  rar                  3.70
  mplayer              cvs
  ogmtools             1.5
  dvdxchap             1.5
  mjpegtools           1.8.0
  xine                 0.99.5
  fping                2.4
  hal                  0.5.9
  -------------------------------

Probe Command:
==============
execflow tcprobe -H 10 -i /dev/hdc -T 1 && echo EXECFLOW_OK; execflow dvdxchap -t 1 /dev/hdc 2>/dev/null

Rip Command:
============
rm -f /home/jim/music/dvd/american
_warewolf/vob/001-C001//american_warewolf-???.vob && execflow -n 10 tccat -t dvd -T 1,1,1 -i \/dev\/hdc | dvdrip-splitpipe -f /home/jim/music/dvd/american_warewolf/tmp/american_warewolf- 001-C001-nav.log 1024   /home/jim/music/dvd/american_warewolf/vob/001-C001//american_warewolf vob >/dev/null && echo EXECFLOW_OK

Grab Preview Image Command:
===========================
You must first rip the selected title to see this command.

Transcode Command:
==================
mkdir -m 0775 -p '/home/jim/music/dvd/american_warewolf/tmp' && cd /home/jim/music/dvd/american_warewolf/tmp && mkdir -p /home/jim/music/dvd/american_warewolf/avi/001 && execflow -n 10 transcode -H 10 -a 0 -x vob -i \/home\/jim\/music\/dvd\/american_warewolf\/vob\/001\-C001\/ -w 1868,50 -c 1-175064 -L 0 -b 128,0,2 -s 1.466 --a52_drc_off -f 30,4 -M 2 -y xvid -o /home/jim/music/dvd/american_warewolf/avi/001/american_warewolf-001-C001.avi --print_status 25 && echo EXECFLOW_OK

View DVD Command:
=================
mplayer dvd://1 -aid 128 -chapter 1 -dvdangle 1 -dvd-device \/dev\/hdc

View Files Command:
===================
mplayer movie.avi

CD image creation command:
========================
No files for image creation selected.

CD burning command:
==================
No files for burning selected.

WAV creation command:
====================
mkdir -p /home/jim/music/dvd/american_warewolf/avi/001 && execflow -n 10 transcode -a 0 --print_status 200 -y null,wav -u 100 -o /home/jim/music/dvd/american_warewolf/avi/001/american_warewolf- 001-00-C01.wav -x null -i \/home\/jim\/music\/dvd\/american_warewolf\/vob\/001\-C001\/ -c 1-175064 -L 0 && echo EXECFLOW_OK

The second half of the transcode command gave the desired output for the first chapter of the movie when I ran it at the command line, doing "execflow -n 10 transcode -H 10 -a 0 -x vob -i \/home\/jim\/music\/dvd\/american_warewolf\/vob\/001\-C001\/ -w 1868,50 -c 1-175064 -L 0 -b 128,0,2 -s 1.466 --a52_drc_off -f 30,4 -M 2 -y xvid -o /home/jim/music/dvd/american_warewolf/avi/001/american_warewolf-001-C001.avi --print_status 25 && echo EXECFLOW_OK " from the directory /home/jim/music/dvd/american_warewolf/tmp.

If you need any additional info, or would care to point out what newbie mistake I'm making, I would greatly appreciate it.
