[dvd::rip] Slower Audio

Subject: [dvd::rip] Slower Audio

Hi,

I seem to be having problems with my rips. The audio and video of ripped
multimedia files start out synchronized at the beginning but the audio
seems a tad bit slower so that near the middle, there is an obvious lag
between the audio and video. It gets worse towards the end.

If I were to guess, this probably has something to do with the way
tcprobe guesses the video frame rate to be 23.976 when everything else
says 29.97 (and even tcprobe guesses 29.97 for other, shorter titles on
the DVD).

Can anyone tell me for sure what the problem is? And is there an
immediate solution (something short of going back to the source for a
fix)?
