thanks for your response. And i'll try to replace the mencoder command to transcode. If you have a hint with what commandline option i could start, that would help me a lot.

But to be honest, i don't think this will solve the problem since muxing with mencoder already leads to an asynchron avi. hope i'll be lucky ;)

in regards of switching to another container, imho avi is the most common container, so mkv/ogm stand behind.

You need to know that transcode's avi* tools work realiable only with avi files generated with transcode. So replace your mencoder command with transcode. If you need more advice in this, I suggest subscribing to the transcode-users list.


And (in respond to the other message in this thread): of course avi in general and transcode in particular support two audio channels in on avi
file ;)
