What kind of drive are you using? Have you tried on another drive? In
my experience, DVD-ROM drives sometimes have trouble with DVD+/-Rs and
almost always have trouble with RW media. Dual-layer discs are
particularly problematic. RW drives have been best in my experience.

My computer has a Samsung SH-S183L
18X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 18X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X
DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA DVD Burner With
LightScribe Technology
I don't think it's a media issue as I have used this particular DVD-R media very successfully on the computer and also in the dvd recorder that made this particular disc. HOWEVER I have never tried to disect/examine/remaster/edit a dvd made on the panasonic dvd recorder by putting it in the samsung recorder that's in my computer.
So I don't know if what I'm seeing is a known phenomena, a "duh" on my part, a missing library? (I checked for things like... libdvdread and stuff like that. Anything I KNEW to look for...)
Or does that Panasonic DMR-ES15S simply "finalize" in a way that is non-standard in terms of the file structure but completely understandable to other DVD players? My wife emailed me and told me that the DVD works perfectly in 3 different dvd players at her school. But non of the ripping software I've gotten so far knows what to do with it.
