Hi. Up until recently, I have had not even the smallest problem with dvd::rip. Now, whenever I try to backup a DVD, dvd::rip errors out during ripping of the title. This problem happens about 95% of the time.
My dvd::rip setup:
Program Version ------------------------------- dvd::rip 0.98.10 transcode 1.1.0 ImageMagick 6.4.3 ffmpeg not installed
xvid4conf 1.12 subtitle2pgm 0.3 lsdvd 0.16 rar 2.71 mplayer cvs ogmtools 1.5
dvdxchap 1.5 mjpegtools 1.9.0 xine 0.99.6 fping not installed hal 0.5.12 -------------------------------
My system setup: Intel Core2 Duo, 8GB ram, OpenSuSE 11.1 x86_64 All apps installed from either the official OpenSuSE repo or the Packman repo. Libdvdcss2 is installed from the VideoLAN repo.
What I have done so far:
Replaced my DVD drive. Replaced the DVD. Tried ripping from a DVD image folder on the HDD.
When dvd::rip does rip the title, it encodes just fine. The oddest part is, when it fails to rip, it simply stops with an [error] tag next to the job. Log is included.
-- Write a program so easy even an idiot can use it, and only an idiot will use it.
