Well, that seems to have resolved the issue. THANKS!!!
Now, how do we get them to fix it so the perl module doesn't choke on the number of frames being different?

I think you suffer from the same issue described here:

See my post #39 which offers a solution, although this just fixes
dvd::rip's misbehaviour on a short rip and not the short rip itself...
